About Enrico

Born in Lecce, 8 of July 1984

Math and Sciences High School Graduate in 2004, in Lecce (South Italy).

In 2005 enrolled at the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy (University of Salento),
Degree Course in Sciences of Communication.

From 1999 to 2007 he writes several screenplays for various short films and feature films (never produced) and supervises other people’s screenplay drafts.

From 2006 he cooperates in making various short films and features.

Currently lives in Lizzanello, a little village of Salento, a few miles from Lecce, where he directed and produced, in an autonomous and independent way, a part of his first short film:

2010 “Riconoscere”, HDV, color, running time of 13’06”. Official selection to I’ve Seen Films 2010, finalist to Essi Girano 2010 and Sila Film Festival, taking part to the David di Donatello contest, in 2010-

In the spring of 2010, he organizes screenplay, casting, sets and stage costumes for “The Island of Lorenzo”, and starts the shooting in summer 2010. “The Island of Lorenzo” is a project located into Salento of the 60’s.

2012 “The Island of Lorenzo”. HDV, Color, running time of 20’47”. The short film has been produced by Calandra Theatrical Company under the patronage of Province of Lecce and AFC – Apulia Film Commission, and won the first prize at the EcoFestiValPesio 2012, the Special Prize Club 500 at the Gold Elephant World of Catania.

In the beginning of 2013, he writes the screenplay of another shortfilm entitled “Leaning”, that wins the first prize to the Ninth Edition of the National Prize Bernardino Zapponi.

Fall 2014, Leaning is ultimated and ready for screenings and festival submissions.

January 2015. Boogey-woogie, Enrico Conte's new project, starts its production.

Fall 2015. Boogey-woogie is done and ready to run.
