About Brendan

Brendan was a farmer, share-cropper, wool-classer and research technician before completing a bachelor in business at Curtin University, Western Australia, in 1987. He then worked as a science writer-editor, advertising executive, marketing consultant and independent filmmaker.
In 2000, he left his corporate job in Collins Street Melbourne to work under his own banner ‘The Guerin Group – Linking the Bush with the Big Smoke’ offering marketing, advertising & film production services to rural Australia.
In 2014, Brendan set up Guerin Group Films PL to start producing longer-form dramas and documentaries for broadcast via whatever viable means; festivals, cinemas, television, online, mobiles and subscription. He has 47 producer credits for short dramas including ‘The Disappearance of Willie Bingham’ ‘First Contact’ and ‘Beginner’s Luck’, and dozens of short docos, TV commercials and corporate films. He has several films in development including cross-cultural feature drama ‘The Shark People of Fiji’.

Unique traits: Collaborative, creative hands-on producer with great conceptual, writing and editing skills
