A passionate inexperienced social worker begins a new job at a Chicago recovery center the mentally ill; but her compassion prove to be both a blessing and a curse as she struggles to learn the ropes while clashing with an emotionally detached coworker.

SYNOPSIS:

Felicia Cordero is working at a soulless job as an HR Director at a luxury resort in Puerto Rico when she loses her family in a Stage 5 hurricane. Emotionally traumatized, Felicia is unable to stay on the island and longing to make a difference in the world, takes a job in Chicago at a day program for people with severe and chronic mental illness. Felicia’s powerful emotions and intense empathy for others proves to be both a blessing and a curse as she struggles to learn how to work with clients, while clashing with an overly analytical coworker, Zach Eisner; who sees Felicia’s emotionally effusive approach to treatment as an annoying waste of time.
