About James

James Fauvell is a filmmaker and theater director based out of New York City. His debut short film 'Other People's People' screened at the Austin Film Festival, HollyShorts (Winner, Best LGBT Film), as well as at the Florida Film Festival. He has directed at numerous downtown theaters, and has been assistant director for Tony and Emmy Nominee Scott Ellis on the workshop production of 'The Roar Of The Greasepaint, The Smell Of The Crowd' at New York Stage and Film as well as the 'Kiss Me Kate' concert starring Kelli O'hara at Roundabout Theater Company. Off-Broadway Credits include: Colin Quinn’s Red State, Blue State (Associate Director Off-Broadway, Associate Producer for CNN/Netflix Special) He is also a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab. He produced 'The Rise and Fall Of A Teenage Cyberqueen' by Lindsay Joy which won the 2013 NYIT Award for Outstanding Premiere Production Of a Play. Among his acting credits is 'Sleepwalk With Me' (Winner, 2012 Sundance Film Festival's Next Category) written by Ira Glass and Mike Birbiglia. He also worked for Birbiglia for years as an Assistant and Co-Tour Manager.
