My first “camera” was made out of painted cardboard. Since then I have made over 60 docs, narrative shorts and experimental films. My work in history and culture has been distinguished through many awards. Hand Game (2000), funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, opened the American Indian Film Festival. My feature personal documentary, Stuff (2011), won a special jury prize at the Florida Film Festival. In 2012, I received the Individual Artists Fellowship from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, honoring artists who are the strongest representatives of art in the Northwest.
