I trained at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, I love the work of Shakespeare, Arthur Miller, Martin McDonagh, Anthony Minghella, Woody Allen, David Lynch; actors I admire - Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Anthony Hopkins, Kate Winslet and LOADS MORE...oh hang on this is supposed to be about me. Ok: I am an actor and also a singer and I compose and play my own songs. I've also written music for film and theatre. As an actor I love to play roles that challenge me and I've been scarred by many of my characters that I've fallen in love with, as I always do. I'm not a typical leading lady, I'm not a typical anything really. My strengths are genuineness, humour, fearlessness and a willingness to be vulnerable. Oh, and FEAR. And I'm a good sightreader, I can learn lines easily, pick up accents, dance, drive large vehicles, play a multitude of instruments and I'M NICE. My favourite roles I have played so far: Kate in 'The Taming of the Shrew,' Garance in 'Les Enfants Du Paradis,' Eve in 'Someone Like You' (by English playwright Anna Jordan). I like the gut-wrenching stuff and the offbeat comedy. Stuff that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. Stuff that has a point to it. I like scripts that sound like the best bits of what real people say. Or what you wish they would say. I like working with people who are not afraid to lift the lid and look underneath, who don't just go with the same tired old cliches. I don't have time for that.
