About Channin

Channin Smith knew he was going to be a gardener when at the tender age of six he announced: "God is Everything, even Onions." Since then Channin has been an avid farmer, specialising in conscientious, sustainable, organic fruit. His Tehuacan Avocados are to die for with the original seeds being taken from INCA Mummies in Peru. Channin believes that we all contain seeds of love and endless energy in our hearts which can be sprouted with beautiful music. Channin specializes in playing the Kangling, a Tibetan trumpet which eases tired, angry souls.

Channin Smith: A Bus Driving Grandpa and Master Musician.

Channin Smith was born into a talent filled family on June 14, 1965. His Mother, a Jazz Musician, taught him at a very young age, to express the feeling contained in his soul through Music. His father, a political artist, taught him to both love and appreciate life. Channin has been a musician since he picked up his first instrument at the age of one, and has been learning how to make music since. Channin's conquests include the piano, trumpet, kangling, and the flute; his next challenge being the guitar. Channin, a prolific composer who states that San Francisco is his kitchen, Oakland is his living room, and Alameda is his bedroom; grew up unbound in the streets of San Francisco, often swimming in the bay, while his mother and her friends held drum circles in the sand.

We are all aliens put here to make love and play music. Our subatomic particles are exponential in their ability to morph; we can be anything. Patience and responsibility are the apex of humanity, and we are all one. Come listen to the heartbeat of my drum, feel my joys and sorrows, take your never ending energy and turn them into the sweet nectar of love.
