About Allison

Allison Tartalia writes music for film, theater and television. Most recently, she scored the feature-length romantic comedy, Get Happy, which has won numerous awards on the festival circuit and is slated for distribution in 2016. In 2010, Tartaglia received an Emmy nomination and a Bronze Telly for her work on the score to the film 5,000 Miles From Home, a documentary about the lives of Italian American World War II veterans, for which she was a co-composer and arranger. Allison has composed and arranged two original musicals, 1918: A House Divided and Birds on Fire (book and lyrics by Barbara Kahn), both produced by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Theater for the New City. Her music has been heard on NBC, PBS, Lifetime, Bravo, Oxygen and TLC.
