About Patricia

My Stratum: Patricia Reeves-Moore
I Dance not because of a method per say, its more or less a style that has
developed from a combination of methods that have meshed in me, over the years.
This perhaps is my footprint/ signature [?|.
I was originally trained Classically in several schools that taught Russian Classical Ballet.
In this form the turnout isn't as extreme. It wasn't until 6th grade or so that I was introduced
to creative dance. it brought a hold new excitement to my dance world. Starting with, Mrs. Dot McKellar
who was my first P.E. teacher and my first dance Teacher. She introduced me to my first definition
of Dance {Movement, routine, repetition then Performance].
This got me going. Soon I met Ruth Greenfield, Minnie D. Reeves, Albert Dean, Ms. Barfield,
Ms. McQueen, Ms. Higgins, Ms. Brooks, Ms. Dean and a village of wonderfully nurturing Black Women
and Men. After that, there were an array of fabulously talented mentors that helped molded me into the
Dance/Choreographer I call myself, and who I know now.
My Classical back ground is totally attributed to Hildegard Benet Turnow, Bobbie and Virginia
Barnett founders of Atlanta Ballet. My Modern intros and training is a conglomeration of Dunham,
Graham, Alvin Ailey and my Hero E'leo Pomarre of Belize. As each of them passed though my life I carried a
piece of them with me.
It is only now, at the age of 69 that I myself, am in Total Awe of how blessed and fortunate I am to have
experienced all these great and exception Angels in my lifetime. All Praises Be!!!
