Following a 7-year career as an "abstract writer" (not Castaneda-esque; rather, condensing 20,000+ articles from The Economist, Barrons, The Federal Reserve Papers, etc. to 13 lines or less), I made the career switch to video. Short-term assistant Avid gigs for WGBH (Frontline, A Science Odyssey, and Evening at the Pops) positioned me for my broadcast bootcamp: a full-time role assisting 5 editors on Season 1 of the revived hit kids' show "ZOOM". This was the stepping stone to becoming a full-fledged editor on the ABC show "Squigglevision" and 5 other shows for the broadcast producer Tom Snyder Productions (later called Soup2Nuts). I currently am Senior Avid Editor and graphics guy (After Effects and Photoshop, naturally!) for WGBY 57 in Springfield, MA.
