Lindsay Young

Lindsay Ruth is a Composer, songwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles. Lindsay moved to California to receive her bachelor’s degree in music. She had a brief stint in Nashville afterward, writing and recording her first ep, and touring colleges across the east coast. She soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music, playing in multiple music venues both as an artist and as a musician for others. She has performed at venues like Whisky A Go Go, Hotel Cafe, and Harvard and Stone.

Most recently, Lindsay Ruth produced, mixed, and released four singles this year. She also took part in the 48 hour film festival in Los Angeles and won "Best Song" for the short film "Blurred" by Blue Dragon Studios. LR is currently producing and releasing her own music, composing for film and tv, and recording with other artists.

Her haunting melodies and honest lyrics express her desire to find truth in who she is, and who everyone else is in turn. Focusing on the muted hues and resisting the pull towards black and white, LR hopes listeners feel peace and beauty in facing inescapable pain.
