About Ward

Ward Crockett is an award-winning filmmaker in Chicago. In addition to screening at the 2015 Puerto Rico Horror Film Festival, the 2016 Cleveland International Film Festival, and the upcoming 2016 Middle Coast Film Festival and the 12th Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival, his short film "Between" won several awards at the 2015 Premiere Film Festival, including Best Cinematography and the Jury Prize for Best Picture, and was nominated for Best Directing. His first feature-length film, a low-budget, Super 16 sci-fi/horror romp called Night Things (currently available on Amazon DVD), screened in the 2011 Motor City Nightmares Festival, Pittsburgh Horror Film Festival, ZedFest, 2012 Denver HorrorFest, and the 2012 Fear Féte Horror Film Festival, where it picked up the Best Fantasy Feature Award and a Best Actress nomination.

Ward is currently in post-production on two short films, a psychological horror film called "There Is No Door" and a slapstick comedy titled "Off We Go." He is also scripting a new dark fantasy short called "Hiding" and a feature-length thriller by the name of "Purity."
