LOGLINE:

An aging widow with a undying dedication to her dying hometown unwittingly introduces the very change she has fought to avoid her whole life and must learn to adapt or lose her only friends.

SYNOPSIS:

Jerusha is a lonely, elderly woman living in a small town in northern Pennsylvania. The town grew out of the thriving lumber industry in the late 1800's and early 1900's, but has since slowly withered away. The residents are, however, very dedicated to their town and resistant to any kind of change which endangers their fond memories of the place. Jerusha, most resistant of all, unintentionally transforms their community forever when she unearths a Native American carving while gardening. Showing it to her young next door neighbor who decides to post a photo on her social media page, the publicity draws hundreds of new people to town and the economy booms. But as the town springs to life, Jerusha watches her memories disappearing one by one and faces living her last days in bitterness or learning to adjust somehow. Initially bitter, she finally concedes that change can be beneficial and new memories can be good, too.
