Brian Doyle is an award-winning playwright in the DC-Metro area. Most recently, he was thrilled to have his play SOUNDS IN THE BOWERY presented at Woolly Mammoth Theatre in The Inkwell's "Evening of Inklings". Other recent recognitions include Aston Repertory Theatre in Chicago selecting his play DO WE HAVE GHOSTS? for their Writers' Series, his play DEAD WEIGHT winning "Outstanding Original Script" at the Maryland State Theatre Festival, and was selected to move on to ESTAFest, where it promptly offended everyone. Additionally his play ALTERNATE THEORY was selected as a finalist for Dolce Revolution Project's 2011 Playwrights Competition, and his play GHOSTPAINTER also won the Silver Spring One Act Festival. Several of his full-lengths have received staged readings, and his one acts have received multiple performances. His play SAVES THE DAY will be performed at Montgomery Playhouse in the summer of 2012. He's the author of thirteen full-length plays and thirteen one acts. He lives in Northern Virginia with his beautiful wife McCall and their two dogs, Mr. Darcy and Whiskey.
