Touchpoint Press just published my novel, THE LIES THAT BIND, based on my original screenplay, first of my "DarkHorse" trilogy. Diverse characters, great female parts--young & old. Would be a great film or miniseries.
SUMMARY: 1859-61 Mississippi. Defying the South’s “peculiar institution,” a fugitive and group of slaves stranded in the Mississippi wilds form a secret partnership to build their own egalitarian plantation. They collide head-on with the family that dominates the town, threatening to expose long-buried secrets that could bring down their empire.
Driven by overwhelming longings, both outliers and establishment in this labyrinthine-plotted tale refuse to accept the roles society has forced upon them.
I’ve written five original screenplays for feature film and worked developing film scripts/projects for 20th Century Fox. Some Hollywood big shots called my original spec screenplays “great scripts”, but none have yet been made into feature films or Cable movies yet.
Have just completed a futuristic thriller/mystery, THE ANTIQUITIES DEALER, which would make an excellent film. A cross between NAME OF THE ROSE, THE YIDDISH POLICEMAN'S UNION, and DaVINCI CODE
SUMMARY: A Jewish antiquities gallery owner is drawn by his former lover into a scheme by a purportedly ancient society of Israeli geniuses to clone the great minds of history--and the first, greatest has been produced. Millennial religion, futuristic biotechnology, and human evolution collide in a cauldron peopled by a TV evangelist, Middle East conspiracies, and radicals of major religions.
