About Kari

I'm Kari, a world traveler with a passion for giving people a glimpse of the world through my camera lens. When I'm not globetrotting I stay busy at The Reporters Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit journalistic production company focused on independent documentary production, in-depth online journalism and marketing through video storytelling.

For the last three years I've served in every possible role imaginable at The Reporters Inc. -- I've assisted on shoots with both technical and editorial logistics, logged and transcribed interviews and video, conducted extensive research (searching for interview contacts and providing background information about people, subjects, and issues), helped create script outlines for two independent documentaries, oversaw fundraising efforts through both a crowdfunding campaign and social media/e-mail outreach, wrote in-depth online articles about social issues, worked the backend of our word press website (www.thereporters.org) by adding and updating content, helped design and create our monthly e-newsletters, and led the social media division by growing The Reporters The Reporters Inc.'s online presence (by posting photos, articles and videos, etc.) on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram.

I currently reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota but am relocating to the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area in October 2016 and am anxious to pursue new opportunities there.
