Currently, Moon is focused on creating a series of five social impact films, based on true events - on domestic violence, drug addiction, urban poverty, autism and socially displaced war veterans. She is looking to collaborate with NGO's and producers to to steamroll the project. If anyone from stage 32 wants to volunteer in this project - writers, actors, researchers, producers - then please write to Moon. It is an ambitious project but one she is determined to kick off.
Moon has a unique talent of strategy and creativity - which makes her talent as a filmmaker somewhat extraordinary - as her command over both story and visual narrative and her ability to manipulate the grammar helps her create some truly remarkable films and videos. Her study of comparative literature, her working in different markets in Asia and US, her long exposure to the world of broadcast media and advertising have given her a deep insight into human minds and needs - which in turn gives her an edge as a filmmaker and writer.
Stylish, visually compelling and provocative storytelling through emotionally & musically commanding hard-hitting narratives have emerged as the predominant elements in Moon's work. As a filmmaker with almost two decades of experience in filmmaking, entertainment and advertising, Moon has created social impact films, PSAs and long form commercials for brands – translating brand attributes into human stories, stirring universal emotions in global audience.
Moon has directed large professional productions in a wide range of locations – and her productions included extensive and sophisticated production design, multi-cam set up (Alexa Pro Res, Red Epic), lighting and, and complex post-production and visual effects. Each of her productions was with 100+ crew including acclaimed actors and international supermodels as multiple lead casts, senior technicians including DOP, Production Designer and Stylists. Having said that, she is also adept in economizing during shoot - creativity in constraint is her strength.
Moon is committed to continue her work as a director with even higher creative standards and more compelling storytelling everytime. She is keen on directing (and writing) social impact films, commercials, PSAs, web series, music videos, short films and television content.
