SYNOPSIS:

DEGREES OF PASSION

A simple street crossing turns into a nightmare for the three chipmunks when ALEX, NICK’s agent, speeds toward NICK’s house. NICK is a famous actor and ALEX’s best friend. At NICK’s house ALEX encounters NICK and SUZY, both of whom are drunk. SUZY is passed out.

ALEX tries to explain to NICK that the date of the shooting of NICK’s new movie ‘Degrees of Passion’ has been changed to that same day and also that NICK’s co-star has been replaced by ELLEN, NICK’s ex.

NICK agrees to go with ALEX, but on the condition that they drop SUZY home on the way. Of course, their ride becomes a rat race, as they keep bickering and running into all kind of obstacles, almost literally: senior citizens, marathon runners and SUZY’s angry relatives. While ALEX is pacifying the latter, NICK takes off in ALEX’s car, leaving an infuriated ALEX behind.

At the movie set, unaware NICK suddenly meets face to face with his new co-star ELLEN, thus, ruining the scene and falling into the river. ALEX rushes to help and pulls a body ashore, covered with algae and blood. Thinking it is NICK; ALEX gives the body CPR, while unnoticed NICK emerges thirty yards away from his fall and joins the crew that is busy watching ALEX giving CPR to the body.

ALEX ends up in the police investigation room, charged with homicide and gay necrophilia, all because NICK has told the cops that ALEX was kissing the body. Being bombarded by idiotic questions ALEX finally realizes that he is being punked by NICK and his police buddies. As angry ALEX refuses to talk to NICK, NICK goes to the bar, gets drunk, picks up CATHY and takes her to his place.

NICK and CATHY start making out, ELLEN shows up, pretending to still be NICK’s wife, and throws a tantrum. Upset NICK tries to explain to CATHY that he and ELLEN has been divorced for more than a year to no avail. Both CATHY and ELLEN in turn kick NICK in the groin and both leave.

Later the same day completely intoxicated NICK shows up at ELLEN’s house and tries to pick up a fight with ALBERT, ELLEN’s current boyfriend. ALBERT knocks NICK out, and together with ELLEN places NICK into a prop crocodile dummy from one of ELLEN’s old movies, a horror. They plan to tow the crocodile dummy to some safe place and call the press to humiliate NICK. However on the way the cable snaps and the crocodile dummy breaks loose, wreaking havoc and fear along the otherwise peaceful town. After a series of incidents with the crocodile dummy NICK is being rescued by the cops and immediately starts fighting them in his confused state.

NICK decides to quit drinking, visits LUCY, his old flame and takes her to the Zoo, where he saves FRANK from the grips of BUBA, the caged gorilla. However, BUBA grabs NICK instead and performs hand-job on him in front of the laughing crowd around.

NICK’s and ELLEN’s characters have to jump off the top of the tower into the sea. ELLEN’s STUNT DOUBLE gets injured, and ELLEN steps forward to perform the stunt herself. NICK has no choice but follow her, despite his undisclosed fear of the heights.

ALBERT with his pair of armed goons kidnaps NICK and ELLEN, demanding ransom, because he lost a fortune gambling and now owes a lot of money to the mob. NICK manages to free them after a fight.

The last scene of a movie – the shooting scene of a wedding of ELLEN’s and NICK’s characters, where ELLEN and NICK passionately kiss each other.
