Nancy Hendrickson Riley’s professional writing credits include fifty-plus promo spots for The Disney Channel, numerous articles for Creative Screenwriting and MovieMaker magazines, PSA’s, radio spots and optioned screenplays. She is a past winner of Austin Film Festival’s Screenwriting Competition and the Carl Sautter Memorial Scriptwriting Competition; finalist in the Sundance Screenwriter’s Lab and AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women; and semi-finalist in the Nicholl Fellowship. She is also writer-director of three award-winning short films. ]
Her professional acting credits span stage, screen, and television. Prior to teaching at CSUN, Hendrickson Riley taught writing, acting and directing at The Los Angeles Film School and New York Film Academy. She has received several grants to pursue film projects and is a member of Writers Guild of America West’s Independent Writers Caucus and the Alliance of Women Directors.
