Patricio Serna Is a producer and filmmaker born in Monterrey, México. He holds an MA in creative documentary and film production from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, and attended the MFA program at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He has produced, written and directed award winning short films that have screened in festivals such as Student Academy Awards, Sundance, Clermont Ferrand, Guadalajara, Huesca, Morelia, Milano, etc. His latest work is the feature documentary 12 OUNCES (2011) produced with the FOPROCINE grant from the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE). The film screened throughout Mexico as part of the 2011 Ambulante Documentary Tour and has been acquired by Mexico’s CANAL 22 and Filmin Latino.
