I am a 3rd Generation Film Maker in the Department of Sound Local 695
I have worked on both sides of the camera, directing, coordination of production, Cameraman, Director of Photography, Gaffer, Grip, Make up artist, Prop maker, set Construction, I think your getting the idea there isn't a job I have done on a set. Which gives me ever right to speak on the Art of Film Making. What I have to say is worth listening too. My Perspective is unlike anybodies do to the fact that I hear everything that is going on a film set. Listening to all the departments communicate and see how each and every position does there job, all the while nobody really knows what I do. Ask yourself what does a Boom operator do on a set. My life as a day playing boom op is amazing traveling all over Los Angeles to all the major studios, day playing on all the hit shows made in Hollywood, not many people can say that or have that job. I have lived what the text books talk about, and I have worked with legendary people that created genres, and benchmarks for style and format.
