A teenager is framed for murder and tried as an adult by a corrupt District Attorney who wants to use her to promote his for profit prison.

SYNOPSIS:

EMERALD GREENE, a 16 year old girl who takes a day off from school to celebrate her 17th birthday at a local mall, alone. SUSAN GAGE, an older woman sees Emerald looking at a beautiful, very expensive bracelet, buys it for her and offers to take her for a birthday brunch.

After brunch, Susan showers Emerald with more gifts while plying her with champagne. She takes Emerald to her house where she passes out. When she wakes up, she is down to her underwear, with a lock on her left ankle and a small pistol in her right hand; Susan is on the floor, at the foot of the bed, dead.

Emerald panics, calls 911, tells them the situation and waits for someone to come and rescue her. Instead, she gets arrested and charged with 1st degree murder of one Susan Gage.
