The Lit/Lang major spend decades in non-profit leadership roles and longed do two things in her retirement: 1) to produce utopian futuristic, fantasy or fringe stories, and 2) to dabble with comedic stage playwriting. Mostly, I dilly-dally for fear of failure and spend too much time painting dead palm fronds to fill my need to be creative. However, I have written a Sci-Fi novella entitled Tessa's Forty Winks; several comedy vignettes featured on LazyBeeScripts in the UK, a dramatic play on the topic of domestic violence which was used as a fund-raiser and video-taped for training professionals who deal with victims. It was called A Safe Place and produce in St. Louis (2012) by ComTrea a 501c(3) organization. Currently retired, I live with my husband and furry companions on Florida's mid-gulf coastal region.
