For more than a decade, I have battled in the trenches of television production. I started as a PA at E!, quickly worked my way up to AP, and then segment producer, writer, and producer. On clip and countdown shows, sketch comedy, news, reality, and docudrama, I worked hand-in-hand with award-winning comedy writers, brilliant and demanding DPs, and often quirky on-air talent. As I hired people and built production teams, I developed the ability to spot talented people quickly and to nurture them to make sure we delivered a show on time, no matter the schedule or budget. 

Transitioning into advertising and marketing, I spent the last year writing and producing promos, sizzles, and internal hype videos. I honed an attention to detail and ability read a marketplace and identify what makes consumers tick.

But at heart, I’m a writer. I've worked since the age of 22 as a represented screenwriter and sold several scripts, which of course involved long and late hours of development and collaboration with directors, executives, actors, and managers. Beyond typing "Fade Out" and collecting a paycheck, I truly enjoyed breaking stories with other creative people.

No. Let’s be honest. My favorite part of being a writer is sitting in a dark room by myself with a computer and a head full of truths and lies and deciding whether a truth or a lie would make a moment more interesting.
