Sami Hall

Sami Hall is a Leicestershire Artist, Has been creating her whole life as an only child with an imagination creativity was her friend, Her mum would influence her as she was seamstress and also painted, her father's hobby was woodworking so she was brought up around it, it was in the genes! Shy she would withdraw into the magical world of her art either making up games, or designing clothes for her dolls, to writing articles and making up magazines. Interested in art and fashion textiles were her favorite classes at school, but no one could understand her creative side as text book art to her was confusing, having had a father who took her to church and went to a catholic school sami felt stifled and if you will now is anti control it takes away your freedom not everyone learns the same way. creativity left her for a few years as work happened and adult life but she still had time to make clothes for clubbing! sami has suffered from being an outsider from being bullied at school to later on in life suffering deep depression and anxiety and a breakdown, she has wrote articles for a few magazines about this which have been published. but without she says she wouldn't be able to create today and tries to help others who also suffer thinking psychology would be a good platform she took an open university course, it took a breakdown for her to pick up her brush again. She says her work is inspired by that depression and also the light and the magical place she lived in her imagination as a child, and also the love of the paranormal as from a young age she would get books from the library and read all about the other side. interested in nature, animals, spiritual, wellbeingness, buildings, religions, psychology, odd history. these all have an input in her work, in her spare time she grows vegetables in her allotment likes to experiment with making different items be it food from the vegetables she grows or creative items. she has a love of the sea and cromer where she can walk for miles with her bichon poodle called pip!! follow sami on her journey you never know what she will create or do next.
