Charlie Carman

Charlie is a highly experienced script consultant, script editor and writer who also teaches Screenwriting at Australia's prestigious film school in Melbourne. Having worked and trained at FIlmFour and Channel 4 in the UK, she ran the script development department at Film Victoria in Australia developing and funding projects such as Please Like Me (TV comedy) and Mr Inbetween (TV) as well as a huge range of features, including The Dressmaker, and Russell Crowe's The Water Diviner. She was also selected to do a year's placement in LA and worked at Circle of Confusion for the Heads of Development and Production, assessing script submissions and working on developing projects on the slate. Charlie works across all genres in TV and Film and her students and clients have shortlisted and won a number of screenwriting competitions including the Academy Nicholls, Sundance Lab, Script Pipeline and various AWG awards.
