I grew up in Philadelphia where my Mom was a Stage Manager at the Drama Guild. When I went to Penn State University the first thing I did was go try out for the Chamber Singers and Chorus under the direction of Ray Brown. Dr. Brown loved my Contralto voice, encouraged me that I was a soloist. Well that motivated me to start a rock band Pugh Street Athletic Club;-). They made me try out for my first play Roar of the Greasepaint I was hooked. I started my Masters at Hunter College, went to London with the NYU program for Masters/PHD. I taught drama in between, learned directing, set work which we did with my Mom. In Nashville I have had the honor of directing and producing many plays for the Black History month at Vanderbilt, the Looby Theatre, the Dark Horse Theatre, Angels Without Wings UT 2016.
