About Rene

I am the head writer at Skit Guys Studios. I am also a novelist specializing in suspense, comedy and novelizations (scripts and movies adapted into novels) and have published 24 novels with major publishers. In addition, I work in comedy sketch writing and feature films. In my spare time, I am a freelance writer. I currently have one indie film, SKID, available on Amazon Prime. My novel My Life as a Doormat was adapted into a movie by Hallmark called Love's Complicated. I'm the co-writer on the upcoming feature film, due out in 2021. My novel BOO has been adapted into a script called WELCOME TO SKARY by screenwriter Andrea Nasfell (Mom's Night Out, The Resurrection of Gavin Stone). It's a fantastic comedy that has series potential that we hope will find a happy home. I've also finished a feature script about the Moore tornado of 2013. I'm currently working on a limited series, true-crime project and a feature film about a historic lawsuit against big pharm.
