SYNOPSIS:

If you’re a fan of football, at some point your mind had to wonder if the games were fixed. Especially, when your favorite team loses a big game on a bad call or costly turnover. “The Game Within The Game” explores this possibility.

The game of football, as we know it, had to evolve. Uncapped salaries forced the near bankrupt owners to find others venues to generate additional revenue. Integrity is now a thing of the past. Corruption runs rampant in a multibillion-dollar business known as, "The League."

Abel Von Sternberg is the mastermind behind the corruption. He sees to it that all the scripts are delivered and all the corresponding bets are placed. He lives by the motto that everyone has a price and his ruthless tactics will let nothing stand in the way of his profitable league. Not even family.

His son, Heath is a league scout and all about sex and booze. There’s been a big riff between the two ever since Heath’s mother died in a tragic car accident with a former quarterback, by the name of Jessie Pindro. It’s speculated Pindro was going to expose the league and was having an affair with the late Mrs. Von Sternberg. It’s his accidental death that keeps everyone in line along with their big money salaries and luxurious lifestyles.

Abel is reviewing players for the upcoming draft when he and Heath butt heads over a humble phenom running back by the name of Strephan Samson. Heath warns them to stay away from the kid because he plays with too much heart and will never sell-out to the scripted plays of the league. Abel scoffs and decides to teach his son a lesson. He makes Strephan the first pick in the draft. A sure-fire way to make him obligated to the league.

Heath decides to clean up his act after he meets Pindro’s old high school coach, Gus. He knows the truth about what happened on the night of the accident and has the letters from Pindro to prove it. Heath teams up with Pindro’s sister, Nicki, and together they take on the league.

Strephan becomes the pawn in Heath and Abel’s power struggle. Will he give in to the big money lifestyle that has been handed to him and his family or will he continue to listen to his heart? He’s kept in the dark about all the scripted plays until the night before “The Big Show” the final game between the champions of the season. His team is assured victory if he does the one thing he’s never done… fumble.

His teammates lean on him to do what’s scripted. Strephan can’t believe it. He storms off and is not seen until the day of the game. No one knows what he will do when the time comes, but he assures everyone he will do what’s right for all of them and their families.

The stage is set. Abel enjoys the game from the skybox along with all the other big shots in the league. Heath arrives unexpectedly with a surprise agenda of his own. “The Big Show” turns into the game of all games ever played on the field and off.

Shots ring out, glass shatters, and someone lies dead. The league... It will never be the same.

One ticket to “The Game Within The Game” is only a request away. Enjoy "The Big Show" and a side of football you’ve only imagined.
