“It’s official. I am in love with” Movies. “I love how” they “make me feel, like anything is possible.” A guy I once knew said this about a girl he dated for 500 days. On the 501st day, it was no longer “official” or for that matter applicable. But it still is for me. (beat) It started out as a love for Bollywood films, overflowing with songs and emotions (the songs are still a guilty pleasure) and eventually graduated to the magic of Hollywood films. Over the years, this love for films has matured into a deeper appreciation of what is put on screen. I love films for many reasons but mostly because “anything is possible”.
My eventual GOAL is to produce a feature length film. The immediate PLAN is to gain experience in different aspects of Film Production by getting involved in the Indie-Film scene in the New York area. While my industry experience is limited, what I BRING TO THE TABLE is 9 years of work experience in a managerial/leadership, business-oriented and analytical role with indirect responsibility for delivering the top-line as well as managing the bottom-line for my SBU. I have a dual degree in Finance and Accountancy from University of Illinois. If I had to pick my top skill, I would say that I am a problem solver/solution finder; I believe there is always a way out. I am enthusiastic and passionate about what I do and more importantly, about the industry I want to break into.
