My name is Michael Bradley Cohen. I’m a Brooklyn-Based actor, director and teacher recently graduated with my MFA from New York University’s Tisch Graduate Acting Program. I also received my bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College in Theater and Social Psychology.
As a theatre maker, I specialize in Site-Specific Ensemble-Devised work as part of American Centaur Theater Company, which I co-founded. We are an all-male classical-experimental company described as "the head of shakespeare on the body of contemporary culture"--think music+monologue mash-ups and a lot of hyphens.
As a director, I've been making short films which have been accepted and awarded at various festivals around the world. The content is primarily comedic, touching and illuminating.
As a teaching artist, I give to my community by teaching afterschool programs to kids. I teach everything from Clown and Circus to film making and Improv. It is a joy.
