About Ashley

Ashley Evans, a petite package of buoyant energy, has used her intriguing facial expressions and quirky mannerisms in a wide array of character roles. She has appeared as comical company members in shows such as "The School for Scandal," "Ophelia Thinks Harder," and "Into the Woods." Additionally, Ashley has had the opportunity to portray characters of a more serious nature, including Rose of Sharon in "The Grapes of Wrath." She has also been featured in various independent film projects in challenging roles, including that of an autism-stricken adolescent.

Miss Evans has received various training techniques during her undergraduate career as a BFA Acting Major at SUNY Fredonia. Upon completion of her degree in May 2014, Ashley’s spectrum of experience will have included the systems of both Stanislavsky and Meisner, on-camera work, Shakespearean styles, and Commedia dell’Arte.

In addition to her numerous character roles, Ashley loves working with children. She has done recent work with Shea’s Theatre in Buffalo, NY with their Camp Broadway program for kids and young teens. Ashley was also featured as Roo in "The House at Pooh Corner" at Buffalo's premier children's theatre, Theatre of Youth.

Although Ashley is in her early twenties, she has a way of letting her inner child shine through. However, Miss Evans also possesses a sense of maturity and humor that enables her to play more adult roles as well. She likes to make her environment a comfortable and entertaining one, regardless of the age of those around her. Ashley does multiple character impersonations and enjoys parodying.
