Ashraf Fahim

After working as a TV journalist for more than 10 years I'm refocusing on my other passion, screenwriting. I've been lucky enough to have some success right off the bat, with my sci-fi thriller "The Red Book" a finalist at this year's Austin Film Festival and Screenwriting Competition. I'm partial to sci-f and fantasy but also have a weakness for political thrillers and historical drama. My work as a journalist took me all across the Middle East, where I covered revolutions, counter-revolutions and the occasional war. So I'm hoping that screenwriting is going to be just as exciting... without all the danger.
