About Angie
I'm a passionate storyteller based in Portland OR, and my work ranges from novels to stage to film. Much of my work has capturing themes of isolation, loneliness, and identity faced by modern women in the rural Midwest -- and the incredible strength and grit for survival that comes as a result of difficult circumstances. I wrote and directed an original web series "Redmonton," which was inspired by my hometown and has achieved more than 27 worldwide film awards for the best in cast, direction, writing, cinematography, female filmmakers, and new media. My new book, "Anywhere But Here," will be available to purchase in 2019. I am currently developing and pitching a few new screenplays this summer -- including a rural noir thriller feature and a sci-fi TV series.
