About Martyn
Quick bio update:
38 years old; I currently reside in Cape Town, South Africa. Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
Decided that seeing the words on the screen is my creative direction. Screenwriting is a means to that end but I'm no longer walking the path of a screenwriter, or to be more precise, solely screenwriting.
I've started a small production company with my fellow creative co-conspirator Chris Maltby called The Potted Wolf. We're currently working on music videos in collaboration with Kaneda Records, including productions for Badger and Mausoleums.
We're currently developing a script for our first short film production while putting together cast and crew.
Additionally, I'm also working with another contact back in England on a separate short film.
I'm hoping to put together a short film production in Cape Town in the next year or two.
Feel free to drop me a message if you'd like to discuss anything in relation to my profile or anything film industry related. Just a heads-up - due to work and life commitments, I don't have enough time to do any reading exchanges, although I might be able to provide more practical tips on things like crowdfunding, etc.

Film (Animation, Short and Horror) Miscellaneous Crew The concept of Nightmares was to create an original film based around the idea of combining the skills of a film maker and a photographer. The film is made entirely of still imagery. There's a legend about a spirit or goblin in Germanic folklore which rides on people's chests while they sleep, bringing on bad dreams. This spirit is known as a Mara. The film Nightmares shows the story of 3 people who are each visited by a Mara in their dreams. The Mara makes them each experience their worst nightmare.
