Susann Mertz

I studied Acting in Berlin and New York and am trained in the Stanislawski, Stella Adler, Michael Chekhov, Meisner and Sense Memory Technique. I want to have a broad knowledge and experience in different approaches towards the complexity of Acting to find my very own and most inspirational way to work. I found the Chekhov Technique to illuminate me the most as an artist, but I refer to all of them in the preparational phase for a role. I am very lucky as I was able to travel the world before I found my passion for Acting. I lived in New Zealand, England ( where I studied Environmental Science- with a love for physics in particular) and the USA- therefore my English is on a very high level. Studying Science and Acting afterwards might come across confusing , but really both passions come out of my deep evaluation of life. Environmental Science covers the understanding of our outer world, and Acting allows me to study the human inner world as well as the purity and truth of relationships to others. I am very grateful for the spiritual and inspiring path I chose for myself.
