GENRE: Mystery, Horror
LOGLINE:

A teen believes her new stepfather carries a dark and deadly secret from the past.

SYNOPSIS:

AMANDA, a 16 year old, rebellious teenager, recountes the

horrors of her past in a journal while living as a patient

in a mental institutuion.

Amanda is displeased with the move and shows an angst

towards Gil, her new “father figure.”

Attending a new school just adds to the complications of

Amanda’s life, and though she is not overtly outgoing, she

manages to make new friends.

But things at home escalate quickly as tension rises between

Amanda and Gil. Though he is kind to her mother, Ella, there

is something about him that Amanda does not trust.

Finding her way into the basement one day with her brother,

to look for a ball, she comes face to face with a CLOWN,

which appears to be too real for her liking.

From this moment on, the clown makes many appearances in her

dreams at night and during the day, stirring her heart to

find out who “he” is.

At school, her classmates, MARNIE, TOMMY, and ALEXANDER

share the story of a family of circus entertainers.

The kids team up to tour the abandoned amusement park, and

are further cast into a dark mystery as they encounter the

clown and haunting attributes left behind by the fire.

Her continued infatuation with the mystery causes her

unrelenting dreams which lead her mother to believe she is

going crazy. Ella confronts a mental doctor who quickly

talks her into admitting Amanda into a mental instituion.

In a dramatic ending, the truth behind Gil’s identity, the

clown, and the fate of the Asgard family culminates in a

dramatic replay of history, only to leave Amanda seemingly

out of her mind as we return to the mental institution as

she finishes telling the story.
