Born in Dallas, Texas, and was raised on a family-owned hay farm and cattle ranch located about 35 miles south of Fort Worth. Served four years active-duty in the U.S. Coast Guard, and after honorable discharge attended Tarleton State University and University of Texas at Austin, studying dramatic acting, playwriting, and creative writing. With a communications major. I then worked for U.S. Senator Lloyd Bentsen as a staff writer, and had a 10 year career in daily newspaper journalism before going to work for a Texas oilman who hired me to write his memoirs and learn about the oil business and his family history. The book was published in December 2020. With good reviews.
