Mark is a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico and now lives in
Albuquerque. His attraction to design and intrinsic appreciation for
it began as a child with a fascination for automobiles and aircraft.
He attended the University of New Mexico, graduating with a
degree in Psychology.
After working in several diverse fields such as water well drilling,
aviation, construction, and as a retail business owner, he found his
calling in film production. His curriculum vitae includes work in
nearly all Art Department crew positions, with nearly 20 years of
experience on feature films, episodic television, movies of the
week, documentaries and commercials. His participation in film
production continues as Production Designer or Art Director.
By his own admission, Mark has more interests and hobbies than
the time to pursue them. He is a connoisseur of music, dancing and
vintage design. Hobbies include disc jockeying, camping, Nordic
skiing, bicycling, gardening, and motorcycling.
He has an unusual collection of vintage bicycles and lives in a
Midcentury Modern Ranch house decorated with furnishings of the
period. He has also collected vintage clothing since his college
days, and is frequently seen wearing clothing from the thirties,
forties, and fifties. One of his favorite mottos is “Fashion is
fleeting while Style is enduring”.
Many of his friends call him “Lucky” in reference to his ten year

Belvedere Lounge. In fact, Mark enjoys the nickname and
believes it is accurate because he has been blessed with wonderful
family and friends, as well as unique opportunities and
