Kristen Van Cott

I am a former Corporate Creative Executive that has written and produced content for a variety of mediums including tv advertising, animated kids television and movies, and digital programming. I began on the visual side of the business, initially as a professional print photographer specializing in portraiture and editorial photography, but quickly realized my desire to add a voice to my imagery. I wrote my first spec script while working in Italy many years ago that was optioned but never made, and have been trying since to transition from my corporate job, to a writer's life and career.

Currently, I am consulting on a variety of projects as a producer, but have built in the time to write daily and am enjoying the journey. The muses have been quiet, but I am showing up at the page daily in hopes that they will remember my address. I am looking for a community to be part of, to share both successes and failures, ideas and exercises.
