A full time faculty at De Anza College’s Film/TV Department, Milena Grozeva Levy has produced, written, directed and edited numerous films that have garnered awards around the world. Emily, her 56-minute narrative film, played at the Angelika Film center in New York as part of the IFP Market. After working in the Cinematics Department at Microsoft, Grozeva Levy collaborated with renowned and both Sundance and Cannes winning film director Rob Nilsson (http://citizencinema.net/), editing and creating the visual effects for his haunting art house feature film, Presque Isle. She also produced the low budget psychological thriller, Moonlight Sonata, and edited its trailer (http://www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi139657241/). Originally from Bulgaria, Grozeva Levy studied under acclaimed documentarians Robb Moss and Ross McElwee, as well as iconoclastic director Dusan Makavejev and still photographers Chris Killip and Ed Grazda while receiving her B.A. magna cum laude from the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies (VES) at Harvard University. Mentored by Emmy-nominated cinematographer Nancy Schiesari and seasoned Hollywood editor Nicholas Cominos, Milena Grozeva Levy earned her M.F.A. degree in the Radio-Television-Film Department at The University of Texas at Austin.
