Where do I start. My whole life has been a entrepreneurial journey. Pretty much I was self-taught in things that became an interest to me which includes; filmmaking, screenwriting, creative writing, programming, and entrepreneurship. I have lived in 7 countries (played professional American football in these places) and visited over 30 and counting (the first in my family to do so). My background comes from being athletic (american football and track and field). I started playing division 1 football at West Virginia University, we won the Nokia Sugar Bowl my freshman year. The more I was into sports the more I began to wonder about my creative outlets and how I was not feeling fulfilled.
One day, I got a camera and began shooting footage. I began buying several books on filmmaking on Amazon and book stores. Anything I could read on filmmaking I would. I began reading scripts and eventually got my first screenwriting software, movie magic (I know its not the best) and wrote my first script called "The Father" . I then began dabbling more with the camera and applied to some film schools, I got accepted into Vancouver Film school but did not attend due to the astronomical cost 50k plus. I continued to play sports while living in Canada, at Simon Fraser University. At the time, I had a different mindset, and did not get accepted into the filmmaking program there (in hindsight I am glad).
I continued to read, write, and hone my filmmaking and creative skills. I had a comicbook published, which got some great reviews online. I shot a movie concept trailer for a horror film that got 300k views and 3k shares to date. I got interviewed on indiewire, horror society, dreadcentral, and many more. I have been in contact with several people in LA for possibly making a feature film. I co-wrote the script, and I am currently working on other drafts for the script.
Recently, I also entered into an animation pitch festival. I had a game studio start up selected into the corelabs accelerator in Silicon Valley, I became the first black lead game studio selected into the program. I am hoping to get this horror film made and potentially lead to bigger and better things. The places I have lived are, USA, Canada, Brazil, Poland, Slovakia, Egypt, Germany. All of these places have given me something that I use in my writings. The best thing from my experience is the ability to learn, accept constructive criticism, be a team player, and grow as a human being. I am hoping to connect with fellow creative people. With a creative and business mind.
