About Lynne

Lynne first produced script, "Cupid’s Prey," was a Nicholl Fellowship Top Ten Finalist as "Intimate Relations" and her script "Run Away Home" was a runner-up in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy division of the International Family Film Festival screenplay competition.

While living in Paris, she was engaged by the French film production company Bonne Pioche ("March of the Penguins") to co-write three feature screenplays with each project’s director. The most recent of these films, "A tous les vents du ciel" (international title, "Twisting Fate"), was released in 2016 with lead actress Noémie Merlant. The script was co-written with director Christophe Lioud, adapted from the novel “Si par hasard” by Jean-Baptiste Destremau.

Lynne’s long-form credits also include the feature "Cupid’s Prey" (Joanna Pacula, Jack Wagner) by Daybreak Pacific (original screenplay) and the TV movie "Hope Ranch" (Bruce Boxleitner, Lorenzo Lamas, Gail O’Grady) for Discovery Networks Animal Planet (hired to do page one re-write). She also wrote, produced and directed the short films "Le Chat est Mort" starring Elizabeth Perkins, "Ellipse" (written and performed in French), and "Mothers Be Good." Her directorial debut was the student short "One Line," written by and starring Aram Rappaport.

Lynne’s early entertainment industry career began in development, first as a freelance reader for NBC, CAA and Stan Rogow Productions, then as Development Assistant at Stan Rogow Productions and Development Director for television director and producer Peter Werner’s company, A Joyful Noise Unlimited.

Lynne is also a theater director and playwright, and writes Young Adult fiction as "Kady Ambrose." She is also a volunteer mentor with Young Storytellers Foundation.

  • Cruel But Necessary

    Cruel But Necessary (2005)
Film (Drama) Co-Producer Cruel But Necessary is the story of Betty Munson's strange journey of self-discovery and soul-awakening in the traumatic years following the revelation, on videotape, of her husband's infidelity. Her marriage over, struggling to raise her teen-age son alone, Betty becomes driven to discover other secrets that may surround her and so she videotapes every aspect of her life during the gradual disintegration of her comfortable upper middle-class existence. Sometimes used as an eavesdropping device, other times as a confessional, Betty's camera dispassionately records the layers of family and personal dynamics. The film is seen entirely from the viewpoint of Betty's video camera resulting in a "surveillance tape" that is a kind of voyeurism of the absurd. Written by anon.
