About Douglas

Douglas Muigai (born 24 September 1990) is a Kenyan based Actor,Commercial Model,Engineer,Stunt man and Artist. He is most notable for playing the role of "GSU Officer “ in the Oscar award winning Film WATU WOTE-All of us, "Bartender" in the hit web series Tuko Macho by The Nest Collective,''Police man" in the Jambo Jet Advert, Lead Gangster in The Eluding Damnation feature Film,Head waiter in the 2017/ 2018 M-VISA Advert and Friend in the Safaricom Mpesa Tu advert just to mention a few. He is a trained Telecommunications Engineer from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and can be found practicing the craft in Kenyan media stations.

Early Life'
Douglas Muigai was born in the city of Nairobi and spent most of his childhood living in Kinoo ,Central Kenya.He joined Kijabe Boys High school in 2007 where he found love in rugby and weight lifting .After high school, he trained and practiced in Mobile Phone repair and maintenance for a period of one year then went off to college. During his time in college {The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication} he helped found rugby for the first time in the institution,he then continued repair works turning his hostel room to a mini workshop.He was also the head bouncer in all school events and at PICCOLINA CLUB & RESTAURANT a few meters from the college. He was crowned the best chess player in all technical colleges in the country in the year 2014 at the annual KETISA college games. After graduating the same year,he worked as a studio and broadcast engineer for K24 TV and later KTN Television.

Douglas went back to acting in 2016 landing a bartender role on TUKO MACHO Tv series that aired on NTV come September 2016 he landed his biggest role yet as a lead character on the 2017 Jambo Jet Tv commercial. On the onset of 2017 he went back to practicing engineering landing a job as the head Technician for the newly launched ACE TELEVISION,subsequently being cast as a lead character on THE LAST BAIT Tv series. On June 2017 he played a Gangster in the Eluding Damnation Film alongside names like Jack Mutinda and Kennedy Luyali.On July 2017 ,he landed a Lead role as a waiter in a Kenyan/Nigeria advert making it his second appearance in an advertisement . On October 7th at the Carnivore he modeled for Plus Fabulosity, a Plus Size modeling agency. 2018 saw him make a guest appearance on Sn2 of ‘’NGANYA’’ a crime Tv series as ‘Stallin”.
July 2018 saw Douglas feature in his 3rd Tv Advert for Safaricom featuring the popular Musician Mejja for the Maisha na MPESA campaign.
