Stephen Bishop Seely attended both the University of Texas at Austin and Michigan State University for his MFA in Acting. He has performed, produced, written, directed and served as a dramaturg for numerous Regional, Touring, Off-Broadway, and Broadway productions. He has written and directed three films including "Inseparable", "On the Sauce", and "Trigger Happy". He has written several plays in development including Barking Spiders, The Calypso Crux, Mancrab, Topeka is Turning or the Ryan Seacrest Play, Cuticles, and has a web series in development, "Separated@Birth". He currently is working on a new theatre project entitled, The Untitled Anderson Cooper/CNN Project, that he co-wrote with Matthew Palmer. Stephen recently directed two Off-Broadway shows, simultaneously, entitled 8 Million Protagonists and Broke Wide Open starring Rock WILK. He is the producer of the annual musical theatre festival in New York City, SOUND BITES. He is currently the Literary Manager for Theatre Now New York. During his time at the Genesius Theatre Guild (NYC), he served as Literary Liaison and Director of Play Development. He started the Revolutionary Writers Workshop and the RAW Reading Series and helped create and develop many new plays and musicals. He continued to be innovative in theatre by developing the first ever GTG Script Development Group (The Dramaturgical Coalition) consisting of select Dramaturgs, Producers, and Directors which focused on the process of developing a script for a production. He successfully workshopped and produced the premiere of BOX by Fred Shahadi directed by Clinton Turner Davis. He served as the assistant dramaturg at Disney Theatrical Productions and served on their creative team for their musicals Tarzan (book by David Henry Hwang and music and lyrics by Phil Collins) and On the Record directed by Bobby Longbottom. He became Associate Artistic Director of the new Texas Star Theatre at the Granbury Opera House, where he directed The Boys Next Door and associate produced Gypsy (w/Cindy Benson), Grease, and a workshop reading of Robin Hood the Musical. He was one of co-founding Producing Artistic Directors of ReVision Theatre in Asbury Park, New Jersey. When he was there, he produced Richard Skipper as Carol Channing in Hello, Dolly!, Hair, Scrooge in Rouge, Kingdom (Winner of Best New Musical in New Jersey), Steven Brinberg as Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl, and The Full Monty.
