Hi Chad, I thought since you responded to my post and you mentioned you were looking for feedback on your script I thought I'd give it a read. I should say that sci-fi and western are not really my area, but I think you do a good job of establishing the stakes and the opening with the biker gang really sets up the nature of the world. I don't know if it's what you were going for but the gang hurtling towards a dirty, isolated town put me in mind of Mad Max, which can only be a good thing. I especially liked the characterisation of Varok, he feels like he has a warped sense of his own importance when he is merely someone's messenger boy, although I expect he has a greater role later on, if I were to guess does the Sheriff's daughter take revenge on him? On the whole it was an enjoyable read, but I think you'd be better off receiving more critical feedback from someone more familiar with the genre!

Callum McKay Thanks so much for taking the time to read and to comment back. I really, really appreciate it. In answer to your question, the Sheriff's daughter is the main protagonist. She has a character arc that begins with her arrival at the town and she, the principal townsfolk introduced and a new person that shows up soon after all play a role and form a group of sorts. The threat builds, characters evolve. Past relationships are revealed and it all comes to a head.

I really like a Combo-Genre'! Sci/Fi and Western in One Package. I still miss "Firefly".
