Angelo Perez Lebbink

My name is Angelo Perez Lebbink and I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Recently this month I finished my short FLASH/CRASH, which I wrote, directed, and produced.

It is a dramatic turn telling the story of a down on his luck drug addict who seeks forgiveness and salvation from an alienated prostitute in need.

We made the film low budget with no fundings and a bit of my savings.

As the film is an exemplary product of the proclamation of honoring diversity in film making, I wrote characters that come from several cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

As a former student at the University of Amsterdam, my Masters degree in Film Studies, my bachelor in Theater, I started writing films a decade ago.

Flash/Crash is my first, that is, solo, film.

My interest in film ranges from MIKE LEIGH through PT ANDERSON via BRIAN DE PALMA to, more
recent, the great JORDAN PEELE.

At the moment I am in research of a few stories which I hope to get to tell in a not so far future.

Therefore, and maybe in fact because, I hope Flash/Crash can get a stage at your festival.

Films should play in theaters and indeed, let”s celebrate films together!

These are hard times for exhibitioning venues but the festival circuit has that odeur of pure love.
