About Becky
I am a writer/editor, toddling with baby steps toward authorhood. I have been writing for about 15 years, both as a freelancer, and for various publications and clients. Currently, I contribute posts to both the Pata Pata Jewelry and Cat it All blogs, edit and proofread for a company called CIENCE, and I ghostwrite fiction novels! I also attempt any freelance job or project I can manage in between. I love all opportunities to try new, less familiar projects!
I have experience writing and editing poems, blog posts, and various news and entertainment articles. I'm even (finally) working on publishing my first work of fiction.
I love to do research. I can read page after page of information on project topics for hours!
I have no claims to musical fame, I was just born with a love for singing. I've performed with choirs since I was 8 years old, and I compete in an occassional local karaoke contest.
I served as costume manager and prop master at a haunted attraction for two years. In my spare time, I make random props and play with costume ideas at home.
The good news is that this is the only time I will EVER talk this much about myself (or anything else, really!), because I am terribly shy. However, I adore my work, I cherish each new project I'm lucky enough to receive, and I'm grateful for any opportunity to connect with other artistic people! I love a challenge, and I am always looking to expand my experience and knowledge!
Unique traits: One of my most unique traits is my "vampirism." My intense sensitivity and skin reaction to sunlight, anemia, slow blood circulation, chronically low-running blood pressure, and difficult-to-locate pulse play VERY WELL together! They make trips to the doctor, first-time handshakes (especially during the summer!), and running errands on sunny days, SOOOO much fun! I'm not sure if this is considered unique, as well, but I believe that every living being deserves love, because no living creature can help the way he/she/it was made! Kindness doesn't cost a dime, and it can change, and save, lives in a split second. I love everyone, and everything, flaws and all! <3
