I'm a graduate of the National School of Cinema “Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia” in Rome, Italy.
During my studies I was involved in various academic and extra-curricular projects. For example my work "Ships in the Night" was shown at Auditorium (the main music venue in Rome), and the documentary "Sbarre", which I'm co-directed, was shown at various different festivals, on TV, and in the cinema.
I used to work on Russian TV productions, and I continue to do similar work on a freelance basis, since I currently live in Italy. I have also participated as a director in various shoots (documentaries, advertising), working with Alexander Sokurov, Armani brand and RAI.
I gained experience of cinematographic direction through my work as a director's assistant on the set of "Ben Hur" (Paramount & Goldwin Mayer). I also had a chance to improve my cinematographic knowlage and to take an inside view of film festival organization thanks to taking part as a judge at Medfilm festival, Rome.
My graduate short movie "Selfiesh" was already shown at different film festivals and won different nominations.
Now, after being selected as one of nine European filmmakers, I'm shooting a documentary movie which will become part of an Austrian project dedicated to elderly European women.
