Megan Weaver is a writer-director specializing in hybrid theatrical events. She facilitates rigorous collaborations with cross-disciplinary ensembles, integrating film and digital media, mask and puppetry, live music, dance and found spaces to create vibrant, socially conscious new works. She has been honored with two AriZoni Theatre Awards for Best Director, a KCACTF Meritorious Achievement Award and the Northern Trust/Virginia Piper Enrichment Award. She is an alum of the O’Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute, and has trained with The Wooster Group, SITI Company, Sojourn Theatre and Balerung Dance in Bali, Indonesia. She served for two years as Artistic Director of Performance at Mystic Seaport, and was a founding member and Executive Artistic Director of FullStop Collective, a New York theater collaborative that developed produced over two dozen new works during her tenure. She holds a BA in Theatre with a Literature minor from George Fox University and an MFA in Directing from Arizona State University. She lives in Austin, TX and directs across the country and internationally.
